Fernández fastest in Friday practice.
Adrián Fernández, Owner/Driver -- #51 Tecate/Quaker State/Telmex Honda/Lola/Bridgestone:
"Basically we have had a great day. We were fastest this session and in the morning until five minutes to go when people changed tires and we didn't. The car has been very consistent and we basically repeated what we did in testing. I feel pretty confident and the team is doing a good job. We've been able to make little changes to tune the car to the different conditions we had here today from when we tested and had temperatures in the 50s and 60s. It was in the 80s today and a lot more humid.
"The time we had during the month of May has really helped the team to focus on the details, and I'm really happy with the performance of the whole team on our first day in Milwaukee. I expect the same all weekend. The car has been fast all day but we can't get too greedy. The car is good and we just have to make sure we maintain the pace and not make any mistakes."
Shinji Nakano, Driver -- #52 Alpine/Mitsuba Honda/Lola/Bridgestone:
"Today was okay. We did full-tank runs and the car was pretty good. This afternoon, we made some changes and the car was getting better towards the end of the session. I think we are looking pretty good for tomorrow. The track conditions are much warmer than when we tested here and I think we lost a little bit. At the same time, the track is much greener and I think we are going to end up with very close times from when we were here testing."
