Lexington, Ohio August 10, 2003 - Alex Tagliani, driver of the No.33 Johnson Controls Lola, made his fourth consecutive top-ten finish at the Champ Car Grand Prix of Mid-0hio. Tagliani started seventh and finished sixth in the 92 lap race, securing his eighth top-ten finish in thirteen starts for the first year Rocketsports Racing team. Tagliani has improved to eighth position in the series standings with 73 points.

"Today was good for us because we finished better than we started and we learned a lot," said Tagliani. "Sometimes it's our day to have every aspect of the car work and come together and other times, we just do the best we can and learn from the experience. However, we are so aggressive a team, and like those podium finishes."

Reflecting on today's performance, Taglaini said, "the car felt well-balanced and I was fastest when it was heavy and full of fuel. It was too loose in traffic beause of the marbles and it was vibrating through the straightaway. I was able to gain time in some sections of the track, like in Turn One, where I could catch up to Bourdais. In other sections, like Turn Six, I was sliding and had to back off. We still need to figure out the set up for this track, to be more consistent, but overall, I'm satisfied with a good finish and a good weekend," concluded Tagliani.
