Lexington, OH (August 13, 1999) - Notes from the Miller Lite 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course:

Max Papis, driver of the Miller Lite car for Team Rahal, announced the launch of his new website today. MaxPapis.com now provides members of the media and fans worldwide with access to news and photos direct from the track. The site is bi-lingual, providing information in both English and Italian.

Mark Blundell, driver for the Pac West team is once again behind the wheel of the Digital DNA car. Digital DNA first appeared on the sidepods of Blundell's car last week at Detroit. The Motorola livery will be back on the car next week for the inaugural race at Chicago.

Hogan Racing has entered a second car this weekend for Brazilian driver, Luiz Garcia Jr. Garcia's No. 21 Lola-Mercedes will carry sponsorship from Tang.

P. J. Jones will substitute for injured driver Adrian Fernandez this weekend. Fernandez, the defending Miller Lite 200 champion, was injured last weekend during practice for the Detroit Grand Prix.

Both the No. 16 Bettenhausen and No. 33 Player's Forsythe cars have been withdrawn from this event.

Memo Gidley will field a second Herdez car for Payton Coyne Racing this weekend. Gidley put together a two race deal with the Payton Coyne for Detroit and Mid-Ohio.

Sunday's Miller Lite 200 will see Robbie Gordon make his 100th start. Gordon is an eight-year veteran in the CART series
