Ryan Hunter-Reay, #31 American Spirit/Ford-Cosworth/Reynard
RHR's History at Mid-Ohio: At just 22 years of age, Hunter-Reay's career is young, but his history at Mid-Ohio is long. He competed at the historic road course while driving in Formula Dodge, the Skip Barber series and the CART Barber Dodge Pro Series.
America's Rookie: Hunter-Reay, the 22-year old blond-haired, blue-eyed American from Boca Raton, Florida will be going for his fifth consecutive championship point's paying finish this weekend at Mid-Ohio. The last two races have been lucrative for Hunter-Reay, he has finished in the top-ten in two events that have been difficult for most drivers to even finish. He has earned four-top ten finishes thus far in his rookie season.
Taste of CART:
American Spirit Team Johansson will participate in this weekend's "Taste of CART." Executive Chef Scott Bodem and Assistant Chef Jordan Emerson will prepare a variety of appetizers for the event. The menu includes Shrimp Summer Rolls with a Soy dipping sauce, classic Japanese Dumplings and Thai Lettuce Wraps with a Tamarind Cashew Sauce as well as Soy Ginger Sauce. Tickets for the event are $50 and all proceeds go to charity. Tickets are available at the track.
Hunter-Reay on Road America:
"I spent a lot of time racing at Mid-Ohio early in my career. It is an awesome track, it is a traditional flowing road course. The Reynard should run strong at Mid-Ohio, hopefully our momentum from Road America will carry over to Mid-Ohio. We've been doing a good job of bringing the car home in the points, but I am looking to get well inside the top-ten my goal is certainly to run up front. The fans that typically attend Mid-Ohio are the die-hard true racing fans, they give us a lot of support."
