Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports driver Michel Jourdain Jr., sits on the 23rd fastest time in the combined practice with a lap of 39.965 seconds at 167.907 Mph. at the trioval Emerson Fittipaldi Speedway at the Nelson Piquet International Raceway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #16, Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports: "We made several changes on springs, bars, gears, shock absorbers, etc. We did not make dramatic changes and the car was improved very much. However, there is a lot of work to do. We had a few punctured front tires, due to the track being dirty."

Tom Brown, Managing Director/Chief Engineer, Herdez/Bettenhausen: "We have not had any problems with either the car or with the engine. Everything is going pretty well. We are having a little problem getting off the corner. We cut a bunch of tires. So, we just have to work on getting off the corner better tomorrow." kkkk
