Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports driver, Michel Jourdain Jr. wrapped up this Sunday, his last three-day testing session at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in preparation for the season-opening Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami Presented by Toyota.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #16, Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports: "This was our last testing session and I am very happy with all the improvements we've made today, despite we ran under windy conditions. I think we still need more laps before the season opener and it was very good to test on the same track where we are going to have the first race of the 2000 Championship. Now, I am just looking forward to race here."

Tom Brown, Managing Director/Chief Engineer, Herdez/Bettenhausen: "Today was our last testing before the race and we got an average of 140-150 Mph. We lost some track time the first couple of days, but today we got some good quality track, working basically on race set ups, instead of qualifying set ups, because this was our last day and we were trying to get ready for the race. We worked with Lola with the cooling system and I am very pleased with the engine, this is looking good and overall I feel very pleased with Mercedes-Benz and Lola working together. We still have a lot to do a lot of work ahead of us, but we are very confident."

The team will go back home (Indy), where they will work on the cars before heading Homestead, for the Marlboro Grand Prix of Miami on March 24-26.
