AM Practice Time: 1 minute, 6.151 secs Speed: 75.482 mph Position: 11th
Qualifying* Time: 1 minute, 11.318 secs Speed: 70.013 mph Position: 3rd

* Note: This final qualifying session was run on a wet track so the times were significantly slower than on Friday. Therefore, despite being the 3rd fastest car in today's session, Dominguez will start from the 18th position on the grid based on Friday's faster provisional qualifying time.

Mario Domínguez - Driver

"We seem to have had all the bad luck this year! Of course, the day I'm in the top three is the day that the track is wet! I think that maybe I could have even had the fastest time today but toward the end of the session I ran into quite a bit of traffic. But third fastest on the day isn't bad! Because the track was really wet in spots all the cars were really sliding around a lot so it was a bit treacherous but fun too - a lot like driving my go-kart!"

Fast Facts

* Grand Prix Americas marks Domínguez's 16th start in the CART FedEx Championship Series.

* At the last event on the Rockingham oval in Corby, England, Dominguez started 18th and finished 13th despite two stop-and-go penalties assessed for pit stop window violations.
