Haberfeld Satisfied with Elkhart Lake Test

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin (June 1, 2004) -- Despite the threatening clouds above the Road America circuit, fifteen cars from the Champ Car World Series took to the track on Tuesday. Brazilian Mario Haberfeld finished the day eleventh overall, according to the unofficial times released by Cosworth engineers. However, his time of 1:45:83, was encouraging to the driver. "We were seventh fastest in the morning, and stopped testing a couple of hours earlier than everyone else in the afternoon session. Overall, I am satisfied with my performance and the handling of the car", said Haberfeld.

Haberfeld and Walker Racing will now head south to Milwaukee for this weekend's Milwaukee Grand Prix.

One of the drivers' favorite tracks, Road America is also host to one of the upcoming rounds of the Champ Car World Series. "I enjoy every opportunity I get to drive at Road America. I am anxiously looking forward to racing here in August", concluded Haberfeld.
