Justin on front row for Long Beach Grand Prix

Justin qualified 2nd for Sunday's Grand Prix of Long Beach, posting a time of 1:07.208 (105.416 mph). He lines up alongside Newman-Haas driver Sebastien Bourdais, while Justin's RuSPORT team-mate A.J. Allmendinger is on row two after qualifying close behind in 4th.

After struggling in Friday's provisional qualifying, Justin and his engineers made good progress on set-up overnight. Justin found the handling of the #9 CDW car much better in Saturday morning's practice session, giving him confidence to push hard in what turned out to be a close final qualifying session.

After the session a delighted Justin thanked his crew. "I'm pleased for them that we've managed to sneak onto the front row. They've worked very hard to turn the car around and make it stronger and faster. From here I'm hoping we can have a good race. We want to make sure we get on the podium at the first event and get the season off to a good start."
