Mario Domínguez - Driver
"When I came into the pits after the first group of qualifying laps, we made some changes to the set up of the car. Obviously, we thought we were going to make the car better but in my second set of laps I wasn't able to match the same time or go any faster. We've struggled a little bit to find exactly the right mix but I feel confident that we're pretty close. For the race tomorrow, we'll have to play it very smart. We're starting way back in the field but with good pit stops and race strategy I think we can be in there at the end."
* The Grand Prix of Long Beach marks Domínguez's 2nd start in Champ Cars.
* Domínguez was the pole sitter in 2001 at this event as a competitor in the Dayton Indy Lights Series. He went on to finish in fourth position.
