Mario Domínguez - Driver
"It was a pretty interesting day! We spent this morning trying to figure out how best to set up the car and in the end, we made a simple change that made a huge difference. During qualifying, I got caught up in a bit of traffic and only managed to get one clear lap in before the red and checkered flags. I think we could have improved our position even more with just one or two more laps. For sure, we're on the right track for tomorrow."

* Friday's provisional qualifying session was ended approximately two minutes early due to a spin by Tora Takagi, driver of the #5 car. Takagi's car was deemed to be in a dangerous position but CART's Simple Green Safety did not have enough time to remove the car before the session would end so the drivers were given the red and checkered flags simultaneously.

Fast Facts
* The CART Grand Prix of Mid Ohio marks Domínguez's 11th start in the CART FedEx Championship Series.

* The CART Grand Prix of Mid Ohio will be Dominguez's third start at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, following Dayton Indy Lights events in 2000 and 2001. His best previous start here was seventh and his best finish was sixth (both in 2001).
