Spent a great day at the track. The weather was great and should be for the whole weekend. No fog this year. For those of you going they moved the consession areas to the island and the expo area is huge this year. Lots more room to walk around. Paddock passes are $15, get them early last year they stopped selling them after the morning. The paddock is alot bigger this year, and there is more room. There were about 30K people there yesterday, The place should be packed on Sunday, so arive early and stay late. The Russel cars (the last raceof they day) put on a good show.

I spent most of the day in the pits or overlooking turn 1 from the media center (It seems they let you hang out there on Friday) it is the best view of the track and you can pick up some rumors and info too.

The skinny on Tracy is that he is staying (too bad), he will be driving for Newman/HAAS. Micheal was supposed to announce his Newman/HAAS deal, never heard if they did. Tasman is going IndyCar racing next year Andre Riberio will be the driver. AJ Foyt anounce that Cheever will be his driver in 1995 ( grabbed a press kit on this one and will post some more on this later). Robbie Gordon will soon anounce a lifetime sponsorship deal with Ford. Finally Toyota will be practicing at Laguna Seca on Tuesday and Wed, last time they were there they brought the prototype with them.
