"The car was pretty good out of the box today. At some points we had a little understeer and at others a little oversteer, but overall it was pretty neutral. This afternoon my time was a little slower because I was never able to get a really good tow but overall I think we're in really good shape for tomorrow's qualifying."

* The 500 Presented by Toyota marks Jourdain's 101st start in the CART FedEx Championship Series and his 98th consecutive start (beginning at Vancouver in 1996).

* Jourdain has qualified in the top-ten four times so far this season; Long Beach (7th), Nazareth (3rd), Twin Ring Motegi (7th), and Michigan (6th).
