Tony Kanaan, #21 LCI Reynard-Honda - Qualified 22nd/Fourth fastest in morning practice:
"We had a problem this session. Something came loose and there was brake fluid down by my pedals. I almost crashed because I went to brake on the back straightaway and my foot slipped off the pedal. We lost a lot of time in the pits, and when we got back out we unfortunately had a couple of red flags. That was enough to take away my lap times. I am a little disappointed because I had a pretty good car, but we have a chance to do it again tomorrow.
"The track is much better and a little bit faster. There is more grip. I would like to say 'good job' to the guys at Houston who put this together for the first year -- a very nice race track. CART worked very hard as did the people here in Houston. I think we are going to go out of here on Sunday looking forward to coming back next year."
