Sebastien Bourdais ...

Sebastien Bourdais #1 McDonalds Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"It's just been a weird weekend overall. You know, it feels really good to be back at the top here. After a great weekend at Long Beach, you know, the first 1-2 with Graham, it has been a long time for Newman/Haas/Lanigan Racing. It feels really good because the boys worked so hard last night. Like Graham was saying, it's been a long winter, they really worked their tails off. It's paying off. It's all to their credit. I couldn't be any happier. It was a pretty tough beginning of the race. And then Justin made it a bit easier for us. He got around Will. So I just had to give up that position. And then after that, we were saving fuel, saving fuel, saving fuel. And I kind of had the feeling that Justin might have been struggling a little bit to make the fuel mileage, so I just kept the pressure. And I think at some point he really, really tried to make the target, and he just, you know, couldn't keep the pace. Got a good jump out of turn 10, got around. After that, it was a straighter shot. But pretty eventful race. I have to say it wasn't easy. We got I think quite a few things to look at the car because towards the end, it wasn't the same car as the beginning. So I'm just glad it turned out all right. You know, very happy for all the McDonald's crew."

Graham Rahal #2 Medi | Zone Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"All around it was a good weekend for the entire team. I mean, Sebastien was obviously the man to beat from the first session. It was pretty obvious that we had good cars this weekend. For me obviously just learning and gaining more experience from him. So luckily in the race we put it together. I mean, we knew after qualifying yesterday, it was a little disappointing being sixth because in prequalifying we were on old tires and we were really fast. So we expected to be the same. But we had some issues so we basically couldn't put a lap together and all night, you know, the team worked really hard. We sorted out our problems, came out here today, and right away the car felt really good in the race. I was able to save a lot of fuel, keep pace with Oriol and those guys. At the end of the day, he had to pit a lap earlier than me and that was that because I had a good inlap and good outlap. Unfortunately, went yellow. But still we got ahead of him and the team did a great job on pit stops. I have to really thank them."

Robert Doornbos #14 Muermans/Jumbo Supermarkten/Mediamall Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"Thanks for the extra point. I didn't know that worked. No, the race was amazing. I think I made the biggest jump at the start. I had a really good start, rolling start. I really get the hang of it. I went on the inside. I think I passed five or six guys into turn one, which was quite close, quite exciting. And then we just had a really good pace. Was very happy with the car. I was feeling comfortable with the car, saving a lot of fuel in comparison to the previous two weekends where I struggled a bit with the saving fuel thing because, you know, I'm really not used to it. But I learn quick. This time it went really well. So, yeah, a good strategy. I mean, the guys, obviously Michael Cannon, my engineer, and Rob, his strategy partner, they're very experienced and it worked out today so I'm very happy."

Oriol Servia #3 INDECK Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"That was a good race! I still think we needed a little more speed to keep up with Sebastien (Bourdais) but we were very close. At the beginning of the race I was just saving fuel and I could tell that I was doing a better job at it than the guys in front of me, so I knew that our pit stop would probably be quicker and we could pick up a few positions. Just as expected we the Forsythe Team gave me a great pit stop and we came out right behind Sebastien. During our second pit stop we had a problem; I was getting ready to leave just as Mario (Dominguez) was coming in and I had to wait to avoid hitting and that definitely cost us the podium. But overall I'm very happy, the Forsythe Team gave me a great car and we were so close to having another great finish."

Simon Pagenaud #15 Aussie Vineyards Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"On the first lap I was thinking, oh my goodness we are going to have some bad luck, but we had a very good Aussie Vineyards car, especially on red tires again. They were fantastic for me and exactly what we needed for the car all the time. We were on a very good lap and came back in the field and I was able to pass some people in the first pit stop and I just drove as hard as I could and saved fuel during the race. I just want to thank my Team Australia crew, because finally the monkey is off my back now. It's great to have a good finish in the top six, this was my goal in the beginning of the season."

Mario Dominguez #7 Telmex/Banca Mifel Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"We didn't have the best car out there but I still managed to save a lot of fuel and pick up some positions on the track. The Forsythe Team did a great job today and we were moving up through the field, the problem during the second pit stop obviously cost us a lot of time which is a shame, but overall I think it was a good race. I wish Paul Tracy a quick recovery, I know him well and I know that he will do everything it takes to get back in the car as soon as possible. I'm going to work very hard during the next few weeks to be able to secure the support I need to be able to finish out the year."

Bruno Junqueira #19 Sonny's Bar-B-Q Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"It was a difficult race for the #19 Sonny's Bar-B-Q car today. The car didn't run very well on the red tires which hurt our gas mileage. Then we switched to the blacks and the car got better as well as our mileage. One time when I tried to use the push-to-pass it ended up costing me a couple spots. Overall the Dale Coyne Racing Team did another outstanding job for me again. It was also another consistent finish for us which helps us stay in the championship race."

Ryan Dalziel #28 Pacific Coast Motorsports Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"Very, very good. I am really pleased. The car was good, and we are showing good pace. We had a problem getting the fuel in during the last stop which was unfortunate, but the crew did a great job, a very good job. All the bumps made it a mentally draining race. I don't feel as drained physically but very soar for sure, I'll be sore for a few days. We are making progress for sure. This is our second top-ten in a week and my best finish, for us to run eighth at this point for us is very encouraging."

Alex Tagliani #8 LXN2 Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"We had a fueling issue, which ultimately hurt us today in the Grand Prix of Houston. The #8 LXN2/RSPORTS car was better in the race, and it showed because I was passing a lot of people at the beginning. We got up to the sixth spot after starting 11th. Then we came in for our first pit stop, but the fuel was not going in. Then Katherine (Legge) hit me from behind, which caused me to spin and fall way back in the field. It is very unfortunate for the RSPORTS team, because the guys did an excellent job for me today. If we wouldn't have had that incident our strategy and placement at the time, would have gotten me a sixth place finish. But we are still up there in the championship points standing, so that is good and we will get back at it in Portland where I hope we can earn our first podium finish."

Justin Wilson #9 CDW Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"The CDW crew did a great job for me today which allowed me to be competitive in today's race. We were working on saving fuel and then Will Power tried to make a pass on me that just wasn't going to happen. Contact with Power punctured my rear tire and ultimately ruined our day. We had to pit for a new tire, which completely messed up our strategy. It is just very disappointing for the RSPORTS team and CDW. We could have had a better result, but we will move on to the next race and hope for a better finish."

Will Power #5 Aussie Vineyards Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"It was an unfortunate race for us. On the first lap I knew what Sebastien was going to do and went straight through the chicane and held me up in turn four, so Justin Wilson got me. We were on plan until our stop and were really slow on fueling and lost a few positions and after that we were saving good fuel and had the opportunity to pass a few people. Wilson was quite a bit slower than us, but I went for a move that wasn't on and that was my fault and it went downhill from there. The guys did a great job and I wish I could have brought them home a better result. Now we go back regroup and keep putting it together."

Roberto Moreno #29 Imperial Bank Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"The toughest part of the race was the things I didn't anticipate, such as shifting issues. The engineers and crew gave me a great car but I had a downshift delay intermittently that made me lost confidence and my rhythm. It would come and go so that was a little frustrating. At the same time, it was so much fun, I haven't trained in 2.5 months and to jump in at the last minute on a circuit so challenging, I don't think its to shabby. I am wishing a speed recovery for Alex and I appreciate them giving me this opportunity. I think we made another step in development and I think you will see the Pacific Coast Motorsports team enjoying a lot of success very soon."

Tristan Gommendy #22 Pay By Touch-Megaspiera Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"I was hoping that today the Pay By Touch MegaSpirea PKV Racing car would see the last lap, but unfortunately we came up a little short. The car was good and it was a fantastic experience to fight with Bourdais for the lead. I did my best to hold him off. I have to thank the whole PKV Racing Team. They did a fantastic job. When we arrived here the car was not so good and we worked hard every day and we arrived at the race with a great car. It is just a shame that things didn't go our way at the end of the race."

Matt Halliday #42 42 Below Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"I guess we got crashed into. We were running at a good pace to start with and saving fuel and then Moreno came by me and tried passing on the inside. We hit and that was the end of the story for us. Moreno is an old man and he should know better. The crew did a good job of getting everything fixed but we lost a lot of time and then I had to just cruise around. We just took it easy to get some points at the end."

Neel Jani #21 Red Bull-Gulfstream Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"The Red Bull Gulfstream PKV Racing car was running fourth place and at a good pace. I came in for my second pit stop, got back out and had done one lap when Katherine (Legge) tried to do a very enthusiastic move on me, which was impossible to fulfill from my point of view. I didn't even see her. She came out of nowhere and that was the end of my race. It is a shame because the Red Bull PKV Racing Team worked very hard to prepare a very competitive car and I think we had a good chance at making the podium. Now we just will go testing and work on the car before we head to Portland, which is a type of track (permanent road course) that I am much more familiar with."

Katherine Legge #11 Dale Coyne Racing Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"It was a bad end to a bad weekend. There is just no other way to put it nicely. The car was very difficult to drive today. The #11 Dale Coyne Racing Team gave me some awesome pit stops today and I couldn't be more proud of them. I'm just sorry that things ended up the way it did for their sake. We were on our way to scoring another top 10 finish today until the unfortunate incident when a driver on cold tires finished off my weekend."

"Speedy" Dan Clarke #4 Ticketmaster/Synapse Power/The Australian Pink Floyd Show Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone

"We had software problems right at the beginning of the race, which were not the fault of the team. After that, and as the race settled down, we just tried to pull back as much as we could. The tires were good, the car was good, and I just pushed as hard as possible while watching the fuel numbers. Towards the end of the race, Power, Jani and Katherine Legge had some sort of incident, and Katherine got into the wall. I came around the turn, found her car blocking the track, and with nowhere to go, hit it with the left front corner of my car. I managed to get back to the pits, but there was just too much damage to continue. It's obviously a disappointing result personally, but I'm pleased for both Robert and the team that we scored another podium today."
