Persistent showers throughout the day in Milwaukee washed out qualifying for tomorrow's Miller Lite 225. With rain also limiting yesterday's practice, CART FedEx Championship Series points to date were used to set the starting grid for Sunday's 225-lap race.

As a result, Long Beach and Indianapolis 500 victor Helio Castroneves will start from the pole/outside of the first row, with Paul Tracy on the outside of the second row. Defending series champion Gil de Ferran, Tony Kanaan and Michael Andretti also will be top ten starters.

Although it has rained frequently the past two days, the forecast for the Milwaukee area calls for partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-60s. Tomorrow's schedule calls for a 30-minute race warmup session at 11:00 a.m. CDT, with the green flag for the race at 3:00 p.m. and live television coverage on ABC.

Helio Castroneves (#3 Marlboro Team Penske Honda) Will start from the outside of the first row: "Our car was fast right away from the start of practice yesterday, and that gave us the opportunity to make a full [fuel] tank run and work on our race setup. With track time being so short this weekend, I'm hoping that will give us an advantage going into the race tomorrow."
