Morning showers and continuing drainage problems at the new Rockingham Speedway race circuit again forced CART FedEx Championship Series officials to cancel on-track activities today in England.

According to track officials, September is normally the driest month of the year here in England. However, rain here most of last week saturated the grounds and although the skies again cleared by midday, the 1.5 mile oval resisted attempts to dry it through the afternoon.

Weather and track conditions permitting, current plans call for a two-hour practice session tomorrow morning, followed by a full-distance race start at 3:00 p.m. local time (10:00 a.m. EDT).

With today's rain washing out qualifying, the 26-car starting field will line up according to the current driver's championship points standings.
