Consistently topping the charts throughout the race weekend, Bryan Herta and the Zakspeed/Forsythe crew landed on the podium Sunday afternoon, finishing third in the Marconi Grand Prix of Cleveland. Sunday's performance marks the best-ever race result for the first year team. Herta's third place finish was his first visit to the podium since winning Laguna Seca in 1999, while driving for Team Rahal. The Zakspeed/Forsythe team completed two flawless pitstops in the 100-lap event and Herta drove like a veteran as he battled Dario Franchitti for the lead. Herta earned 14 valuable championship points in the event, and jumped from 23rd to 15th (tied with Memo Gidley) in the point's standings.

Herta on the Race:
"This is a terrific result for Zakspeed/Forsythe Racing. My guys did a great job, and my engineers Lee (Dykstra) and Don (Bricker) gave me a really good car this weekend. This feels like a victory for us. It has been tough going this season. We are a new team and we have struggled a little bit, but we have been working hard to get things turned around, and we are really starting to gel. I went for it on the first lap, I wasn't going to lift until everyone else did, and I lost some ground there for a while because of it, but I certainly don't regret it. We had two great pitstops today, and I had a few good battles, particularly with Dario, we had a lot of fun together today."
