Michel Jourdain Jr. "We spent most of the afternoon session running toward the front of the pack so all in all I'm pretty satisfied with our progress today. I ran into some traffic at the very end of the session which made it hard to post a competitive time but I feel if we can get a clean lap on new tires tomorrow, we can get a really good time in."

Fast Facts * The Molson Indy Vancouver marks Jourdain's 95th start in the CART FedEx Championship Series and his 92nd consecutive start (beginning at Vancouver in 1996). This will be his 34th start with Herdez Bettenhausen and his sixth start at this event.

* Jourdain has qualified in the top-ten four times so far this season; Long Beach (7th), Nazareth (3rd), Twin Ring Motegi (7th), and Michigan (6th).

* At Round 11, the Harrah's 500 presented by Toyota at the Michigan International Speedway, Jourdain scored the first podium of his Champ Car career with a 3rd place finish.

* Jourdain currently stands 23rd in the Drivers Championship with 16 points, just 2 points shy of his 2000 season total.

Qualifying for the Molson Indy Vancouver will begin at 1:45pm PT (4:45pm ET) tomorrow, following a final 75-minute practice session in the morning. Television coverage of qualifying will air on ESPN2 on Sunday morning beginning at 1:00am ET. Live timing and scoring will be available online at www.cart.com.
