DETROIT (July 20, 2000) - The Greg Moore Foundation and CART Licensed Products, Inc. have joined forces to distribute the Greg Moore Commemorative Product Line in memory of the Canadian Champ Car driver who was tragically killed in a racing accident late last year. The GMF merchandise, including a book, cap, sticker and two pins, will be available for purchase on the internet and at every FedEx Championship Series race for the balance of the season.

"CART is proud to partner with the Greg Moore Foundation to offer fans the chance to honor Greg, and at the same time raise funds for his selected charities," said Rena Shanaman, CART Vice President of Client Relations. "Greg was a bright star of CART who excelled both on and away from the track. He is greatly missed by family, friends and fans from around the world."

The product line will feature the pictorial biography, Greg Moore - A Legacy of Spirit, written by motorsports journalists Gordon Kirby and Dan Proudfoot with Vancouver journalist Jim Taylor. Also available are the Greg Moore helmet sticker, the Greg Moore commemorative cap and the Greg Moore commemorative pins. All items will be sold on CART's official web site, cart.com, and through the CART At-Track Merchandise Program. Pre-sale of the book begins on Friday, July 21, while all other merchandise can be purchased beginning August 1. Net proceeds from the sales will go to the Greg Moore Foundation.

"The Foundation is pleased to be working with CART on this project," said Mike Hurst, Director, Greg Moore Foundation. "All net proceeds will go to the Greg Moore Foundation to help continue the strong commitment to community and charitable work that Greg so actively pursued. We have all been overwhelmed at the impact Greg had on racing fans around the world and the book and other commemorative products offer us all a way to celebrate his life and honor his memory."

Greg Moore - A Legacy of Spirit, the first item offered by the Foundation, is a tribute in words and pictures to Moore's memory. The book portrays his life, from go-karts in the parking lot to racing against the best in CART, and the reader will share in thoughts expressed by Moore's family, friends, racing crew, sponsors and fellow competitors.

The Greg Moore Foundation was formed last year to honor Moore's memory and accomplishments. It has been incorporated in both Canada and the U.S. as a charitable organization, able to raise funds from tax-deductible donations, from support of the many tributes undertaken by others throughout the year, and from several Foundation sponsored initiatives.
