LEXINGTON, Ohio - The race ended very early for driver Luiz Garcia Jr., and the Project Racing Group (P.R.G.) at Mid-Ohio.

Garcia completed only three laps, making this race his and the team's earliest exit this season. The Brazilian started losing power on the second lap and was signaled in. The P.R.G. crew did a quick check and added more fuel, but the problem persisted and he pitted again for good. Mechanical difficulties were the reason, but the main problem was not pinpointed.

Adding to the day's woes, Garcia lost all radio contact with the team while on the grid.

"Definitely not a good day. First I lose the radio then the problem with the car that will be checked on immediately. It's not a good feeling at all to be out so early. We did have a great balance on the car that I felt was better than some of the other cars, so who knows how well we could have done. At least I won't have to wait long for the next race (Road America)." - Luiz Garcia Jr., Driver

"From the initial feedback we got from Luiz for the first couple of laps we had a hell of a car. For some reason we have a very competitive car on race day and that's where we usually shine, but we'll have to do better during qualifying. Unfortunately mechanical problems put us out of the race early. It could have been a pretty good day." - Andreas Leberle, Team Owner
