WEST ALLIS, WI - The Milwaukee Mile wasn't kind to Team KOOL Green as Dario Franchitti finished ninth while teammate Paul Tracy went out on lap 12 and was credited with 24th.

After starting 11th, Franchitti's race was an uphill battle all day. But he set the fastest lap of the race at 159.608 mph / 23.277 seconds and earned his fourth top-ten finish of the season (out of five races). He now stands 12th in the CART FedEx Championship standings with 21 points.

Tracy's race ended almost before it started. He started fourth and moved up to second on the first lap when front-row starters Kenny Brack and Helio Castroneves made slight contact in Turn 2, resulting in Castroneves hitting the wall and collecting Cristiano da Matta, who had started third. Tracy apparently got hit by one of the spinning cars and once the race went back to green on lap 12, he hit the Turn 1 wall ending his day. He remains tied for third in the points with da Matta and Jimmy Vasser (40 points).

Brack went on to win his second consecutive race, taking the checkered flag 1.307 seconds ahead of Michael Andretti. Rookie Scott Dixon finished third.

PAUL TRACY, #26 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:
(Started 4th / Finished 24th / Tied for third in the standings with 40 points)

"When Helio (Castroneves) and Kenny (Brack) had their contact on the first lap, I think I got hit a little. I wasn't sure if I had a tire going down so I radioed the Team KOOL Green crew and they said the tire pressures were okay. But something might have broken in the rear because as soon as I turned into Turn 1 at speed it seemed to let go. Obviously it's a big disappointment because I really like racing here - especially with a great car, which is what we had today."

STEVE CHALLIS, CHIEF ENGINEER FOR PAUL TRACY:

"It's too early to say what happened. We'll have to look at the data and see if something was broken or misaligned. Paul thinks there was something wrong after the first-lap incident, that he grazed a wheel."

DARIO FRANCHITTI, #27 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:
(Started 11th / Finished 9th / 12th in the standings with 21 points)

"Disappointed is the first word that comes to mind. After the accident on the first lap there was debris everywhere. There were pretty big pieces of carbon hitting the sides and front of the car, I was backing off and six or seven guys passed me. Team KOOL Green did a great job during the race to make the car quick - we set fastest race lap. We had one small problem when I stalled leaving the pits and that was because we forgot to reset the rev limiter. It was fun to come through the field but it wasn't for the result we hoped for."

IAIN WATT, CHIEF ENGINEER FOR DARIO FRANCHITTI:

"We didn't get a lot of time to work on the setup of the car this weekend because of the weather and we started the race with a car that wasn't where we needed it to be. After our first pit stop, we made some changes that made the car one of the quickest - if not THE quickest - on the track. It's unfortunate that circumstances didn't allow us to take this fast car to victory lane."
