JOURDAIN JR. GRABS ONE POINT

Herdez backed driver Michel Jourdain Jr., who started from 25th place, finished 12 in the Marlboro 500 race. He achieved his fifth point of the season. In Nazareth he was 12th (to get his first point in 1998). Then he got three in Vancouver with a top ten place and finally in Fontana was 12th.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #19 Herdez-Viva Mexico! Team: "Michigan was my worst race of the season and I was worried that it could happen the same here in Fontana. Happily we were competitive despite my car developed a lot of understeer. Also, I had a drive through penalty that I think was not fair, because when I passed through the pit lane I was using the limiter."

Antonio Marrón, Motorsports Director Herdez-Viva Mexico! Team: "We feel very happy with Michel's performance. Now, we are looking for the next season. Also, I want to thank the media for all your support."
