The session was red-flagged once when Oriol Servia spun and stalled in turn two, loosing about three minutes of practice time for everyone.

Dario Franchitti went off at the turn six run-off, but was able to proceed without further problems. So did Mario Dominguez.

Tony Kanaan, da Matta, Bruno Junqueira and Dominguez drove their spare cars. They qualified in their spares and will be driving them in the race.

The temperature was around 60F, the skies partly cloudy and a light breeze was blowing across the track. The forecast calls for cloudy skies and a 72F high temperature. The race starts at 1:30 PDT this afternoon.
