"Honda has put a lot into this series and it is sad to see them go. They are going to be full force for next season, and I hope we can win the championship for them in their last year. We feel very sad about this situation, and I think it is something that could have been prevented.
"In terms of the future of the team, right now we just have to sit back and see what develops on the engine front because, at the moment, nobody really knows what is going to happen. We will have to look for an engine supplier once we have the total rules package from CART about the engine for 2003."
"First of all, I think we have to concentrate on 2002 and do a really good job for Honda. I know that they will provide us with a very good engine for next year, as they have always done in the past. We are looking forward to our program in 2002, and trying to obtain the FedEx Championship.
"We don't really know yet about an engine program for 2003. We will have to look at all the possibilities, and are just in the process of starting that now based on today's announcement. We will go forward. We're a racing team and we need races, race cars and race engines. I'm sure that we will put a very competitive package together.
"I wish our friends at Honda a tremendous amount of success in whatever it is that they venture off to do."
