The RuSPORT team comes into this inaugural West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix of Edmonton fresh from their first Champ Car victory at last weekend's stop in Toronto. British pilot Justin Wilson led the team across the finish line in his #9 CDW Ford-Cosworth Lola to also collect his first personal Champ Car win. The second-year team earned this milestone after just 20 starts.

Wilson's 1st-place finish keeps him in the championship mix, as he currently is ranked 3rd in the overall Drivers Championship. Teammate, and reigning Roshfrans Rookie of the Year, A.J. Allmendinger is also in championship contention in the #10 Western Union car as he holds onto 4th-place in the standings.

Although the circuit will be new to everyone, Justin did have the chance to drive the circuit last month in a passenger car. Wilson is excited to get out on the Finning International Speedway as he expects plenty of action with several wide turns for passing. Justin also got the impression that the track layout will lend itself so some very high speeds.

Three RuSPORT team members are proud to call Canada their home. Team president Jeremy Dale, Race engineer for the #9 CDW car Todd Malloy, and shock technician Alex Michie all hail from Canada.
