DETROIT (June 17, 2000) - Championship Auto Racing Teams has reached an agreement with WDFN sports radio 1130 AM in Detroit. The agreement calls for the station to join the CART Radio Network for the remainder of the 2000 season.

WDFN, Detroit's all-sports radio station, will make its first appearance on the CART Radio Network this weekend, broadcasting the Tenneco Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit live at 1 p.m. ET Sunday from The Raceway at Belle Isle.

Under terms of the agreement, WDFN will broadcast several 2000 CART FedEx Championship Series races, including the Marconi Grand Prix of Cleveland Presented by Firstar (July 2); Molson Indy Toronto (July 16); the Michigan 500 Presented by Toyota (July 23); and the Target Grand Prix Presented by Energizer (July 30).

"We're very excited to begin this association with CART," said WDFN Operations Manager Gregg Henson. "We're looking forward to providing top-notch racing coverage to the fans of the Detroit area, not only this weekend, but throughout the summer."

Live coverage of Sunday's Tenneco Automotive Grand Prix of Detroit will begin on the CART Radio Network at 12:45 p.m. ET.
