McDONALD'S DRIVER BOURDAIS THIRD FASTEST IN PROVISIONAL QUALIFYING FOR THE CENTRIX FINANCIAL GRAND PRIX OF DENVER PRESENTED BY PACIFICARE WHILE PACIFICARE DRIVER SERVIA NINTH; BOTH DRIVERS STRUGGLED TO FIND GRIP IN QUALIFYING

Oriol Servia, No. 2 PacifiCare Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "Traffic wasn't as much of an issue for us in qualifying as being slower than we wanted. We aren't sure why we lost some speed from the morning session but the PacifiCare team is going to work hard overnight and try to improve in final qualifying. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow because ninth place isn't where we want to start the race. This is an important race for our team because PacifiCare, Centrix and McDonald's are all sponsors of the event and it would be good to do well not only for them but also for the championship."

- FAST FACTS: Will be his fourth race here. Started and finished sixth in 2004; earned his best start to date of second place in 2003 and finished third; started 13th and finished 11th in 2002...Is ranked fourth in the standings with 160 points to leader Bourdais' 216.

Sebastien Bourdais, No. 1 McDonald's Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "Well, it was very good to restart the weekend the way we finished it last year (P1 in morning practice). Obviously, things didn't go the same way for the qualifying session. The McDonald's car was really good this morning. We did I think 60.3 with 25 laps on the Bridgestone tires but we just couldn't even match it with the two new sets we put on (in qualifying). The second set during the qualifying was ruined by traffic. We just couldn't put a lap together; the first run was just all I got. I was just really surprised. The team was kind of disappointed. We definitely can see that the grip is not there any more. We'll just investigate if the dampers broke or something and try and do better tomorrow, if the weather is letting us do it. If a bad day is P3, I'll take it."

- FAST FACTS: Will be his third race here. Started from pole here last year but he and teammate Junqueira made contact on the opening lap and he dropped to 15th place. Charged back and led the final 11 laps to win what he considers the best race of his career. Started third and finished second to teammate Junqueira in 2003...Leads the point standings with 216 to second place Paul Tracy's 189 (+27).
