DOUBLE TOP-TEN FOR HVM DUO IN PROVISIONAL QUALIFYING
Wirdheim 7th, Lavin 8th in Denver

BJORN WIRDHEIM, #4 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone
*Bjorn's best Champ Car qualifying result.

Bjorn on the Qualifying: "At the end of the day, it turned out pretty well. We made a mistake in this morning's practice session with an adjustment on the car, which caused the car to behave really strangely. We figured it out between the sessions. I thought we would improve in the second stint with our final set of tires, but that didn't happen because of the red flag at the end of session. I am happy with the car, we might make a few small changes tonight but I am very optimistic for tomorrow."

Rodolfo Lavin, #55 HVM/Lola/Ford-Cosworth/Bridgestone

Rodolfo on Qualifying:"I am very happy, the car feels pretty good. We still need to improve the rear-end at the entry and the front-end at the exits. The last change we made in the second stint actually sent us the wrong way so I didn't get the chance to get the most out of my last set of Bridgestones. That combined with the traffic and the red flag jeopardized our second stint. Overall it was a good start to the weekend, we'll go back to where we were earlier in the session and we'll have another good go at it tomorrow. This is just my second race of the year, so I think I can improve in one or two turns, I am still getting back in the groove of it a little bit, so I am pleased with our result today."
