Side to side contact with Tora Takagi on in turn six on lap 86 of the 100-lap Shell Grand Prix of Denver forced rookie Mario Dominguez down an additional two laps while awaiting a bump start and out of contention for points in today's event.

Mario Domínguez - Driver

"There's not much to say really - Tora and I were both trying to use the same piece of track and there wasn't enough room for both of us. He tried to go down the inside of me, we came together and I ended up having to wait for the Safety Team to come get me re-started so we could finish the race."

Keith Wiggins - Managing Director

"The car ran really well all day today. We got the cooling situation under control which, at this altitude and with the heat, was everyone's biggest concern. The guys on the pit crew did great stops for Mario today and we managed to pick up a couple of spots on our starting position."

Fast Facts * Today was Dominguez's 14th start in the CART FedEx Championship Series.

What's Next
The Herdez Competition crew will return to work in Indianapolis and immediately begin preparations for the fly-away race in Rockingham, England on September 14. The freight will load on Friday, September 6th and the crew will depart on September 10th.
