Race Distance: 149.18 mi./240.082 km (90 laps on the 1.657-mi./2.667-km temporary street circuit).

Potenza Race Tires Supplied: Bridgestone delivered 668 dry-condition and 304 wet-condition Potenza race tires for use this weekend. All were produced at the Bridgestone Technical Center in Akron, Ohio. Bridgestone brought a single dry tire specification and a single wet spec to Denver, allowing every team and driver equal footing on the racetrack. There will NOT be an alternate dry-spec tire available this weekend. * Dry-condition tires ("slicks"): Each car receives eight sets of slicks (32 total tires) for the race weekend, to use as its team determines in the practice, qualifying and race sessions. Bridgestone Motorsport engineers chose one of their most popular race tire specifications for this weekend, opting for the "soft" street-course compound/construction combination, which has already run successfully at Long Beach, Toronto and Vancouver. It is also the "softest" Potenza race tire in the current Bridgestone lineup for the Champ Car World Series. * Wet-condition tires ("rains"): Bridgestone supplies each car up to four new sets (16 tires) of grooved-tread rain tires per race weekend on road and street courses, as needed. In addition, teams may use two sets of rain tires per car issued at a previous event. Bridgestone brought its street-course rain tire specification for this weekend.

Quote from Al Speyer, Executive Director, Bridgestone Motorsport: "Bridgestone has again taken a very active role in events surrounding the Grand Prix of Denver because it is a tremendously important race market for our company. The Bridgestone brand is again the Official Tire of the Grand Prix, and in addition we are sponsoring Bridgestone Champ Car Night on Thursday. For the third consecutive year, the Bridgestone Blizzak Chill Zone will run all weekend inside Pepsi Center, where fans can witness the exemplary performance of the Blizzak tires on the treacherous ice surface or take advantage of the free ice-skating opportunities. The highlight of the Chill Zone activities will surely be the celebrity ice driving competition Friday evening featuring Champ Car drivers, team owners, officials and personalities. On race day we'll entertain several hundred Bridgestone associates, dealers and guests at our hospitality chalet. All the while, everyone at the track this weekend will see up close the sensational performance of the Bridgestone Potenza race tires used by all the Champ Car drivers on this difficult street circuit. It all makes for one of the most anticipated race weekends of our season."
