Rain plays the starring role in final qualifying at Denver
JIMMY VASSER, #12 American Spirit/Ford-Reynard/Cosworth
Vasser on Qualifying:
"We broke the driveshaft this morning and lost another practice session. The single car qualifying does not include a ten-minute warm-up, so again today, we approached qualifying with very little testing time. The good news is our tire situation for the race is very good. Since we have lost so much time in the practice sessions this weekend we have a lot of fresh rubber, that should help me fight my way to the front tomorrow."
RYAN HUNTER-REAY, #31 American Spirit/Ford-Reynard/Cosworth
Hunter-Reay on Qualifying:
"We thought we knew what was wrong last night, we made the changes that should have worked and it didn't. We have tried just about everything on the set-up from one end of the spectrum to the other and absolutely nothing helped. We are going to take a good look at the entire car top to bottom and see what is going on. I know the track condition was the big story coming into this race, they have definitely made improvements, it's much smoother."
