CTE Racing Claims the first Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes 'It's All in the Finish' Color and Design Award

INDIANAPOLIS (April 20, 2006) - Each season that passes presents new colors and the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford season is no different. At the season opening Long Beach Grand Prix many Champ Car teams had cast off their old 2005 liveries and kicked off the 2006 season with new colors and designs on their cars.

Over the Long Beach Race weekend, a team of Sherwin Williams' Automotive Finishes experts judged each Champ Car entry to determine which team had the best color, design, gloss and overall appearance. Shortly before the green flag flew over the Champ Car portion of the Long Beach Grand Prix, it was announced the new sleek graphite color with hints of yellow, red and orange livery belonging to the #14 car of CTE Racing -- HVM driven by rookie Dan Clarke was the victor.

For winning the "It's All in the Finish Award" the CTE Racing -- HVM team took home a prize of $10,000 and bragging rites leading into the next judging that will take place at the Grand Prix of Houston. Awards will also be given in Cleveland, Toronto, San Jose, Denver, Montreal, and Mexico City. The team with the most titles at the end of the season will be awarded with a check for $20,000.
