Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Heads To Fontana For Pre-Season Testing
Indianapolis, Indiana, March 29, 2006 -- Mi-Jack Conquest Racing will be in Fontana, California today and tomorrow for a much anticipated two-day Open Test in preparation for the 2006 Champ Car World Series season. Drivers, Charles Zwolsman and Andrew Ranger, will be on track for the team getting their cars ready for the season-opener in Long Beach, California, April 9.
Zwolsman, who will be piloting the #34 Lola-Ford car, is looking forward to being back behind the wheel. "It has been a long off season and I can't wait to be in the car again," said the Dutchman. "I want to take advantage of this test to get accustomed to the team and the car and collect as much data possible to help us for the upcoming races."
Still trying to secure additional sponsorship money in order to compete in a full Champ Car season, Canadian race-car driver Andrew Ranger is concentrating on the job at hand, getting his #27 Lola-Ford car up to speed for Long Beach.
"It's terrific to be back with Mi-Jack Conquest Racing, I know the team very well and I'm proud to be a part of it. We put in some excellent performances together last year and I hope we can do even better in 2006," said Ranger. "It's a wonderful opportunity for me to take what I learned in my first year here and build on it."
Eric Bachelart, MJCR co-owner, is pleased to have the young Canadian back on board for the Open Test as well as for the season-opener. "I am very excited to have Andrew back with us, we know him well and he proved to us in his rookie-season that he could put in some great performances," said Bachelart. "With Andrew and Charles, we have two extremely talented drivers to work with and I think they will both work well together during this Open Test in Fontana as well as in Long Beach next week. I am really anxious for the start of the season."
