CLEVELAND, OH (July 2, 2004) -- Rocketsports driver, Alex Tagliani in the No.8 Johnson Controls Lola will make his best Cleveland start tomorrow in the 23rd annual Champ Car Grand Prix of Cleveland. Tagliani qualified fifth with a time of 58.156 and hopes to improve on his 2003 top-five finish in Cleveland.
"The No. 8 Johnson Controls Lola was running well today in qualifying. It was better on old tires, but was inconsistent over the bumps on new tires," said Tagliani. "We need to work on the handling and grip of the car on new tires and perhaps look at the shock combination we're using. Overall the Rocketsports team is pleased with a top-five starting position for tomorrow's race."
Tagliani, who currently ranks eighth, is looking to looking to move ahead in the 2004 points battle with a positive finish in Round Five of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered By Ford.
