Never say die - Justin fights through from 16th to 7th

After a tough start to the weekend on Friday and Saturday, Justin and his RuSPORT crew fought a dogged battle through the field in oppressively hot temperatures to finish 7th in the Grand Prix of Cleveland from a 16th place grid position.

Race strategy and strong pit-stops were key to Justin's race, as well as a "never say die" spirit that brought him from a lap down to his 4th top-ten finish and earned him a "Most Improved" championship point for number of cars passed. Team-mate A.J. Allmendinger fought a similarly spirited race from 9th on the grid to 2nd. Justin now lies in 4th position in the championship standings, just behind A.J.

After the race Justin described how his and his crew's fighting spirit turned things round. "This was definitely a tough race, but I just kept battling. I had a couple of incidents on the track, but my team did a great job and my engineer Todd (Malloy) kept us in the race. I got my lap back and then just focused on putting together fast and mistake-free laps. Everyone's effort paid off and I'm pleased we finished the weekend on a better note."
