"I'm very disappointed. I really don't have too much to say. I think it was the worst race of my career and one of the worst cars I have ever driven. I don't know what the problem is. We need to investigate it and do something because this is embarrassing."

"We had a tough weekend. We just couldn't get the setup to have a quick car like Toronto. The car was really, really difficult to drive especially with full tanks. I had both understeer and oversteer, and the car was hard to handle. We need to find a better setup for the road courses. My car was similar to the way it was at Portland and Laguna. We are missing something for sure. We need to work hard as a team to fix this problem. We have a decent race car for the street circuits and oval tracks. We just have to find a better setup for the road courses."
FAST FACTS: This is his third Champ Car appearance at Cleveland and his 46th career Champ Car start ---started 10th last year but retired with a mechanical problem and was credited with 22nd place --- started 21st in 2000 but retired with a transmission problem and was credited with 15th place ---has made 28 career road/street course starts, claiming nine points-paying finishes including four top-10 results---is in his third season of Champ Car competition, and second year with Fernández Racing.
Tom Anderson, Co-Owner/Managing Director:
"I want to compliment the Fernández Racing team on both cars finishing today. To win, you must first be reliable and finish and the guys are doing that. Now we have to look for some more speed and make a big improvement for Vancouver. I want to thank the drivers for persevering with a bad setup this weekend, and keeping the sponsor names out there for the entire race. We appreciate their efforts."
