CHAMPCAR/CART: Cleveland: American Spirit Team Johansson Friday report

JIMMY VASSER, #12 American Spirit/Ford-Reynard/Cosworth

Vasser on Qualifying:

"I left something on the table for sure tonight; I never quite put together the perfect lap. We have a good car and I am definitely looking forward to tomorrow. What an awesome crowd we had here tonight, they gave American Spirit a ton of support."

RYAN HUNTER-REAY, #31 American Spirit/Ford-Reynard/Cosworth

Hunter-Reay on Qualifying:

"We made some good changes to the car for qualifying. On one of my two fastest laps, Moreno cost me two tenths of a second which would have helped a lot, it definitely would have put me further up the grid. On my fastest lap, I was pushing it maybe too hard and I almost spun in turn one. The good news is there is definitely more in the car and I look forward to using that tomorrow night, it is going to be a great show for sure."

Graham Taylor, Team Manager:

"For the second race straight, we are the top of our class with the Reynard in qualifying. The whole team feels we've done a good job tonight. We are especially pleased with Ryan who has made good progress all weekend. We feel we have a strong night time balance and we are confident for the race tomorrow"
