Mario Domínguez - Driver
"Wow - that was a very, very tough race! The car was really fast all day; I have to credit the team for the pit stops, the engineers for the set up, and Ford for the engine. The car was great all weekend. We lost quite a bit on the first pit stop because I came into the box too hot. That cost us some precious seconds but I learned from it. From there the problem was that I got stuck behind some slower cars which didn't help in terms of track position. It's almost impossible to pass here so some of the guys are going to the absolute edge to try to pass. But if they don't get some room, they end up in the wall. But we got some points and now we move on to the next race."
Keith Wiggins - Managing Director
"The team and the driver did a great job today. Once again, Mario showed that he gets faster and faster as the weekend goes along and that bodes well for the future. But it is a bit frustrating in that the way the current rules regarding pit stop windows play out, you can do a great job all day and end up with not a lot to show for it. Coupled with the difficulty in passing, it makes for a difficult situation."
* Today was Mario's seventh Champ Car start.
* Domínguez earned two points in today's race, bringing his season-long total to seven. While he remains 20th in the CART drivers' championship, he gained a point on fellow rookie Townsend Bell who finished in 12th position in the race.
