TORONTO - January 28, 2004 - Race fans will hear the roar of Champ Car engines - just as they have for years - when the cars and stars of the Champ Car World Series return to the streets of Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal at Molson Indy events this summer.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Frank Otte approved the sale of CART's assets to Open Wheel Racing Series (OWRS) "with no stipulations attached," marking the end of a long and convoluted court process in Indianapolis.

Molson Sports & Entertainment vice president, Bob Singleton, was in attendance at the Indianapolis courtroom today to hear the decision. "I am thrilled with Judge Otte's decision as it continues the tradition of the Molson Indy events in Canada," said Singleton. "We have work to do now though. Preparations are underway in Toronto and Vancouver and we are moving forward as planned. "

"I'm happy," understated OWRS partner Paul Gentilozzi. "You never know how these things are going to turn out, but we believed all along in our plan for the future, and it's great to see the court agree with that vision."

Indy will hit the streets of Exhibition Place in Toronto July 11, 12 and 13, and Molson Indy Vancouver will take over Concord Pacific Place July 23, 24 and 25. Ticket number 1-866-670-INDY.
