"I don't think that we got the best out of the car yet. We didn't go out on new tires this morning so we really didn't get the new tires we used in qualifying up to temperature. We had four laps to get up to speed and post a time and while that's not bad, maybe five would have been ideal because of the track being so cold today. Maybe I pushed it a little too hard on the last lap but there's really nothing else to do but go as hard as you can. It was interesting doing one-by-one qualifying which we normally only do on ovals. It really gets your blood pumping! The track is beautiful - fast and tight like a go-kart track. It's a lot of fun out there and it's going to be quite a race doing 165 laps out there!"
Roberto Moreno - Driver, Car 4
"This is the old Brands Hatch that I remember! We aren't really having problems figuring out what has to happen - the car was quite good I thought for the couple of laps I got in qualifying. The main problem is that we are making a compromise between what it takes to be fast at this track and the next race at EuroSpeedway in Germany. Unfortunately, we had a problem with car. I got a big hesitation at Paddock Bend - I was really just starting to get going when it happened. We don't know quite yet what the problem was but I think it was something related to fuel because it just kind of died on me. The four laps of qualifying is okay. if you get everything right! Paddock Bend is still the most challenging corner on the circuit. They have done a lot of work here to make Brands Hatch safe for the Champ Cars and I'm thrilled to have it as a part of our series."
