KENT, England (May 5, 2003) -- Former Champ Car titlewinner and current Champ Car team owner Emerson Fittipaldi will complete a three-man Grand Marshal team for this afternoon's London Champ Car Trophy at historic Brands Hatch in Kent, England, site of Round 4 of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford.

Fittipaldi, the legendary Brazilian driver and two-time Formula One World Champion will share the Grand Marshal duties with fellow former Formula One Champions Damon Hill and Mario Andretti.

"This is a very special honor to be chosen as Grand Marshal for the Champ Car's return to Brands Hatch, especially with two fantastic champions such as Mario and Damon," said the co-owner of Fittipaldi-Dingman Racing, who captured the CART championship in 1989. "Having the opportunity to be here as a team owner and to share this honor with them is fantastic."

As Grand Marshals, the trio will announce to everyone at the Kent circuit, "Gentlemen, start your engines," a line synonymous with North American racing. They will give the signal for the 165-lap race to begin, and they will wave the checkered flag following its conclusion. All three legendary racers will then present the top three podium finishers with the London Champ Car Trophy awards on the victory podium at the conclusion of today's event.
