PCM's European Adventure Continues in Holland
Plain Jane Couture: PCM is pleased to carry the eye-catching Plain Jane Couture livery again this weekend in Holland. Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Plain Jane Couture sells in boutiques worldwide, including Europe's Benelux region.
The Scottish Connection: Ryan took his best friend and teammate, Alex Figge home to his native Scotland this week. It was Figge's first trip to the land of tartan, lakes, whisky and haggis.
Top-Ten Finishes: The rookie duo of Figge and Dalziel has earned six top-ten finishes for their rookie team, Pacific Coast Motorsports this season. Figge's best finish came at the season opener in Las Vegas, where he finished eighth. Dalziel earned his best finish -- seventh, at Toronto, but also turned in top-ten results at Long Beach, Houston, Cleveland and Mt. Tremblant.
Alex Figge: "This is my first time racing in Europe. It has been a great experience. I think Zolder was a strong event; the fans are very knowledgeable about Champ Car, which is really cool. Feels like a long way from home, but that also helps you keep your head down and focus. We struggled in the Plain Jane car a bit at Zolder. I guess that is to be expected though as a new team with rookie drivers, we feel like we are a little bit behind. We did make a lot of progress, we picked up speed continually through the weekend and we'll continue that momentum this weekend in Assen. It's important for Ryan and me to get a good result in before our seven week break. I am having a great time up here in Scotland. Ryan and I arrived on Monday and we are having a blast. Ryan served me black pudding for breakfast this morning; I let him know that is as close as I will come to Haggis! It is awesome to be here, I've been really close with Ryan's family for years, so I feel right at home. We are on our way to a local pub tonight for a soccer match, so I am sure that will be an experience and tomorrow I've asked to go to Loch Ness so we can find that monster."
Ryan Dalziel: "I am Looking forward to the second leg of the European tour. Hopefully we can build on our race pace that we had at Zolder and start more competitively out of the box than we did last weekend. I am in Scotland this week, Alex and I just left Knock Hill racing circuit, my home track and Alex took a few laps. It's his first time here, so I am showing him all of my local haunts and we are having a great time. I've never been to the Assen circuit, but I know it is fast and I am looking forward to it. My goal is to get back up into the top-ten with the Plain Jane Couture Car in Holland"
