Welcome Barilla: American Spirit Team Johansson is proud to welcome Barilla pasta as an official supplier of the American Spirit Champ Car team. Barilla is the number one pasta producer in the world.

Physically Fit: Ryan Hunter-Reay has signed up with one of motorsports premier fitness trainers, Simon Jones. A former officer in the Royal Marines, one of the Elite branches of the British Forces, Jones has come to Florida to assess Hunter-Reay's fitness level. With the Champ Car being one of the most physically demanding race cars to drive, Hunter-Reay is working with Jones to make sure he is in the best physical condition possible, as he makes his assault on his Rookie Champ Car season. Hunter-Reay will complete three grueling fitness sessions per day for the next three days. At the same time, Jones will assess his current fitness level and build a nutrition and exercise program for Hunter-Reay to execute throughout the course of his racing career. Hunter-Reay and Jones will meet again prior to the Champ Car race at Brands Hatch in May, where Hunter-Reay will complete another fitness evaluation. While Hunter-Reay is Jones' first client in the Champ Car World Series, he continues to work with drivers Pedro de la Rosa, Eric Bernoldi, Jos Verstappen and Johnny Herbert.

On the Web: AmericanSpiritTeamJohansson.com is up and running. The website features all of the latest news, results, statistics, photos and special features on Jimmy Vasser, Ryan Hunter-Reay and the American Spirit Team. Try your luck at our "Pick the Podium" contest, if you chose the top-three race finishers correctly, you will win a Stefan Johansson watch.

Headed West: Hunter-Reay and the #31 crew will test at Firebird International Raceway's East track next week. It will be Hunter-Reay's first unofficial test in his #31 Champ Car.

Team Gear: Look for American Spirit Team Johansson merchandise starting at Long Beach. Updates regarding the clothing and souvenirs for men, women and children will be posted on the team website.

Endurance: American Spirit Team Owner, Stefan Johansson will race for his second 12 Hours of Sebring title this weekend as he teams up with fellow Formula One drivers JJ Lehto and Emanuelle Pirro in the Audi R8 for Champion Racing.

Up Next: The Tecate Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix at Fundidora Park on March 23rd in Monterrey, Mexico. The American Spirit drivers have unfinished business at Fundidora Park, both drivers qualified in the top-ten and while in separate races (Hunter-Reay in the Atlantic event), both drivers' day ended on the first lap after contact. Keep an eye on the two Americans as look to make their mark on the historic Mexican racetrack.
