Las Vegas, Nevada -- Rocketsports Racing driver, Alex Tagliani, will appear at the SEMA show in Las Vegas to sign autographs for primary sponsor Johnson Controls on Thursday, November 6, 2003. Team owner and three-time Trans-Am champion, Paul Gentilozzi, brought young Tagliani to Rocketsports when he entered the 2003 Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford. Sponsored by automotive interior supplier, Johnson Controls, the Michigan-based team had an enormously successful debut season, claiming three podium finishes and two pole starts. The first-year organization battled well-established teams in the series and secured a tenth place finish in the championship.
With 77 career starts in his four years of Champ Car racing, the intense French-Canadian driver, boasts five poles, eight podiums and 39 top-ten finishes. "It will be very exciting to attend the SEMA show on behalf of Johnson Controls," said Tagliani. "I typically spend days at the show and always come away impressed with the new technology and products that are available. We race in a high-tech, innovative series and are always open to learning and developing the performance of Champ Cars. The SEMA show is a driver's dreamland," concluded Tagliani.
