World's Best-Selling Mint Teams with Mexican Driving Talent

Ferrero de Mexico, distributor of Tic Tac, the world's best-selling mint, and Adrián Fernández, CART's only competing owner/driver, have formed a partnership for the 2002 CART FedEx Championship season. Ferrero's global brand will be highlighted as a personal sponsor of Fernández, one of Mexico's biggest stars, and the familiar green and white logo will be featured on the #51 Tecate/Quaker State/Telmex Honda/Lola/Bridgestone piloted by Fernández as he enters his tenth season of Champ Car competition.

"Tic Tac is a very recognized brand, and it was an honor that they were interested and called us to put a deal together," said Fernández. "I am very excited about our new partnership and so is the team, and we are looking forward to promoting Tic Tac this season. Ferrero is a great company with great products, and I think this relationship will grow in the next few years."

The Ferrero Company is the third largest confectionery company in the world. Its most popular brands include Kinder, Ferrero Rocher, Nutella and Mon Cheri. Tic Tac tops the breath mint sales charts with more than 40 billion mints sold annually in more than 50 countries in the world. Headquartered in Italy, Ferrero has factories throughout Europe as well as North America, Australia and South America. Ferrero de Mexico is based in Guadalajara.
