Pocono pole-sitter Helio Castroneves was fastest in final practice on Saturday night.
IndyCar's 30-minute final practice was pushed later in the day due to a delay during qualifying for a crash involving Charlie Kimball. He damaged the catch-fence, which halted the session for 48 minutes.
In this crucial final practice before Sunday's 500-miler, it was the the two drivers who will start the race from the front row at the top of the board in practice. Team Penske teammates Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud topped the charts, followed by Josef Newgarden, Tony Kanaan and Takuma Sato.
Larger packs formed in this short session as drivers tried to learn as much as possible in preparation for the main event. Fortunately, there were no incidents.
