Team Penske's Helio Castroneves again proved himself fastest of the 33-car field for Sunday's 93rd Indianapolis 500 by taking honors as quickest in the final practice session leading up to the race.

Castroneves' best lap of 223.920 mph bested Will Power's 223.560 mph in Friday morning's one-hour session on Carb Day.

Third-quick was second year man Mario Moraes, the twenty year-old Brazilian who continues to impress with a 222.951 mph mark; followed by 2005 race- winner Dan Wheldon (222.386 mph) and Castroneves' teammate Ryan Briscoe (222.374 mph).

Other notables in the top-ten were Dario Franchitti (222.357 mph), Scott Dixon (222.017 mph), Graham Rahal (221.771 mph), Townsend Bell (221.434 mph) and Davey Hamilton (221.371 mph).

Castroneves was first on track at 11:00 AM EDT. All 33 cars in the 500 field took part. Moraes received a drive-through penalty with ten minutes left in the session for putting all four tires over the white line at pit exit. Hideki Mutoh brought Carb Day practice to a close, leaving his pit box with the air hose attached to the car. He stopped in pit lane.
