Texas Motor Speedway Puts Individual Event Tickets On Sale For 2002

FORT WORTH-DALLAS (Oct. 17, 2001) - The tires have barely had time to cool down from the exciting 2001 race season at Texas Motor Speedway, and already, the green flag is dropping on the 2002 campaign. Individual tickets to all events on the 1.5-mile superspeedway go on sale to the public this Saturday, Oct. 20, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Individual race event tickets will be available at Texas Motor Speedway, by calling the ticket office at (817) 215-8500, by visiting the speedway web site at www.texasmotorspeedway.com or through Ticketmaster.

"Our season ticket sales have shown just how excited our fans are for next year," speedway general manager Eddie Gossage said. "With our NASCAR weekend opening up our schedule, and two breathtaking weekends of Indy car and truck racing, the 2002 season at Texas Motor Speedway is one you won't want to miss."

Season tickets remain on sale and are still the best opportunity to secure prime seat locations for all races next season. The season ticket packages begin at just $170 for six races. Season and individual tickets for Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track races will go on sale at a later date.

The 2002 season begins with RPM Week-Texas on April 4-7, featuring the NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series. The NASCAR Winston Cup Series Texas 500 is Sunday, April 7, preceded by the Texas 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, April 6.

The Indy Racing League and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series return for two weekends of exciting racing in 2002. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly 400 is Friday night, June 7, and the Indy Racing League Casino Magic 500 is schedule for Saturday night, June 8.

The fall RPM Week-Texas schedule features the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Silverado 350 is on Friday night, Sept. 13, with the Indy Racing League Chevy 500 culminating the weekend on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 15.
