Fort Worth, TX - The Barracuda Racing crew stayed focused through a trying race under the lights at Texas Motor Speedway, while driver Alex Tagliani protected the equipment and brought home a 22nd place finish.

From the start of the weekend, the team concentrated on the race setup. Tagliani earned a fourteenth place spot on the starting grid and set his sights on a strong race.

The Canadian driver picked up two spots in only the first two laps of the Firestone 550, but early on, the 228-lap race brought some challenges.

On lap 54, the Barracuda Racing team hoped that their car would get cycled around on a yellow flag. When that didn't happen, the team stayed focused, executing pit stops as planned and attempting to find a workable setup.

"Sometimes there just isn't much to say," said Tagliani. "We tried a lot of stuff on the Barracuda Racing car setup out there and it just didn't pan out. We went back and forth a lot, trying tires, setup changes and working with my tools. We have some work to do before Milwaukee but we'll come back strong."

The Firestone 550 weekend was the sixth of a consecutive eight weekends on track for Tagliani and the rest of the IZOD IndyCar Series. Next week, the series heads to The Milwaukee Mile for Milwaukee IndyFest.

Tagliani will attempt to move up in the championship points with a strong finish on the one-mile historic oval. The 250-lap competition will be broadcast Saturday, June 15 from 2-6 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
